Class Runs from August 28 - October 21, 2017 ” Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography.” – George Eastman -
One of the goals of this assignment was to teach you to look at shapes and light and what is in the frame with more clarity. Good photography begins with an understanding of how to fill the frame with expressive design. The purpose of this assignment was not to take a picture of " something out there" like a distant streetlamp or building we don't really care about … But rather to use structure itself as the basis for design… You really only have two pictures here that fit the criteria the second and third one down from the top are the same picture and the third one up of from the bottom has potential to be good for this assignment as well. In both of these is shots you are looking at geometric shape and light and filling the frame… You are eliminating sky and are not just taking a picture of something "out there" far away. I invite you to keep shooting some more of these and resubmit some as we keep moving forward in the class.
