Natural Light Portrait
Hi everyone, This was the most difficult series for me to do. I think I took over 50 shots but I didn't feel satisfied so I took more. I did try using the white background but the reflector was too bright. The portraits I took is of my younger sister. I took the photos in a couple different areas in my house. I did edit as well as utilize the grayscale effect.

Hi Yanisha,
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job with this! Look how strong the 2nd picture is... It is difficult to work with people as you have to take control and direct them into the light. You took my advice, kept it simple and looked at how light from a window falls on the face. The top one I would edit to bring more light into her face and darken or crop the bright area at the bottom...
Well done!
Hi Yanisha,
ReplyDeleteI really like your work! My favorite shot is definitely the fourth one. You capture the light on her face incredibly. Well done!
Hi Yanisha,
ReplyDeleteThe second and the forth photos are my favorite. You give additional power to your sister's face which already commands attention as the focal point in your art. I love that! Great job, very well done!
