week 3

For this assignment, I had to take photos of things partially in doors or on the very last possible day.   I was sick with the flu so I was only able to go out one day which was today to capture any kind of outdoor shot after attending a funeral. The ones indoors are of things I thought had neat shapes, shadows or detail.  My bird is named Phoenix.  He's only a few months old and survived an attack from his father.  He's a beautiful baby love bird and I find his feathers extraordinary.  He hides often so getting a full shot of him is extremely rare since he hardly ever sits still.  The photos taken outdoors are at East Rock, over looking the water by Cross High School.  They were taken right after the funeral and some believe it or not were taken at the actual cemetery.  I found something profound in how cold it was out and how bright the sun was and just had to capture it.  It was very symbolic to me.  The photos of the mini crystal instruments.  Those instruments are made of Swarovski crystals and gold leaf.  They are actually encased in crystal within a glass bottle.  The bottle contains Mazzetti d'Altavilla wine. My husband has had these for about 20 years.  One of them broke years ago but we still have these 3 and I have only moved them for cleaning and never out of the case when doing so.  The figures are only 2-3 inches in size that is why I took photos of the 2 foot bottles.  This way you can get a clear perspective on what I was attempting to get close up on.  There is no way to open the bottle to get those figures out without breaking the bottles.  We have never drunk the wine inside.
The brass items:  some are part of my bedroom set, they are knobs and pulls for the drawers which I find neat and detailed.  The royal blue pattern is my bed spread.  The stars are on my wall in my dining room and there is a lamp that sits and gives them a great shadow at night. The rest of the photos are of door frames and widow frames.  I know this set is a bit all over the place, but I have been sick and not really looking at my home with spectacular details.  Outdoor photos are my best.
Thanks for looking, better more cohesive sets to come.  I simply tried to capture the details in some, not necessarily a theme.
